Challenge Accepted

Greetings awesome people! I see you made it through another day. I knew you could do it! You are a lot stronger than you think, but of course you knew that.

Here recently, I was given a writer challenge to list any phobias or fears I might have. I do not have many, but since I was given a challenge I will gladly oblige it. Here are my top fears:

1. Fear of heights.

2. Fear of clowns. My oldest cousin made me watch It the Clown as a child and now I am terrified of clowns. They make my skin crawl.

3. Fear of owls. The way they twist their heads all the way around freaks me out. Also, I do not like the shape of their beaks.

4. Cicadas. These are the only insects that strike fear in me.

So, there you have it. I kept it short, sweet and brief.

Until next time…

I’m Afraid Of…

Hellooooo and good evening to all! We made it through half the week. Whoop! Whoop!

For tonight’s post, I was given the task to blog about anything I’m afraid of. To be quite honest with you, there is only one thing I’m afraid of and I can guarantee you that you’ll NEVER guess it. Whatever it is you are thinking, let me go ahead and tell you that you are wrong.

The one and only thing I am absolutely afraid of or should I say terrified of are cicadas. If you ever want to see me burst out in tears, chase me with one of them. Those gnarly looking THANGS give me palpitations and I hate the sound they make! Cicadas sound like they are about to drill into you! Lawdddddd hammercy!!! And uglyyyyyyyy! Whew! Them THANGS are ugly!

Last summer, one flew at me as soon as I walked outside. It literally started to chase me. I almost broke my entire neck and my left ankle trying to get away from it. Lol! By the time I made it to my car, I had tears in my eyes. I promise you I was about to cry.

Spiders? Whatever. Snakes? Bring it! Rats? I’ll stomp a mud hole in ’em. Bugs? Pff! Cicadas?! Oh My Gawd! When it comes to those THANGS I ain’t able. They give me the heebie jeebies! Yuck! Alright, that’s enough of that. I’m getting a little uneasy blogging about them THANGS. I want to sleep tonight. Not have nightmares.

Until next time…
