Travel Quirks

Travel quirks. We all have them don’t we? Some are low key and then there are those that are extreme. Mine seem to be in-between if you were to ask those closest to me. BookingAnita’s travel quirks in 3,2,1…

1. Whenever I’m flying, I have to have the window seat. In addition to that, you can’t talk to me until we are level in the air. My nerves are going a mile a minute and I don’t need you all up in my ear tearing my nerves up. In my mind, I’m trying to help the pilot concentrate 😭😂. Wait until we get level and stable in the air, then we can talk. ✈️🤫🤐😃

2. I don’t like to carpool with coworkers LMBO! I’m not going to be a passenger in a car full of coworkers! One, I really don’t trust their driving. Two, I really don’t trust their driving and three, I really don’t trust their driving. Carpooling is okay as long as “I” am the one driving. I’ll pitch a fit if I’m not driving which is why I always got my way when we had to car pool at my past jobs. 👀🛣️🚦🚗

3. Whenever I’m staying in a hotel, resort or whatever, I’ll spray everything down including the bed and sheets with Lysol. I also will NOT walk on the carpet / floor barefoot. I have flip flop slippers that I’ll walk around in and shower shoes. Watch Dateline NBC and you’ll see why. 🧖🏾‍♀️👣

4. I always leave money for housekeeping when they come to clean my room. This was something I learned growing up and I’ve been doing it for years. Housekeeping doesn’t make much money so every little bit helps. I’ve gotten quite a bit of handwritten ‘Thank You’ notes over the years left on my bed when I returned to my room. Best feeling ever! 🤗🤗🤗

5. When my family, friends and I travel, we are separated by the way we sleep. The ones who snore are in their rooms and the quiet sleepers like myself are in our rooms. I can’t sleep with someone who snores. Some folks be tearing down the walls when they snore. Good grief & good nite! 🙉🤦🏾‍♀️😴

Until next time…
