Have You Ever…?

Have you ever taken the time to analyze your life and the direction it’s going? I’m quite sure you are going to say ‘yes, but how often do you do it? I’ll be the first to admit that in the past, I rarely did it. Maybe if I had of, I could’ve prevented a few of the mistakes I made in the past. One things for sure, I learned from those mistakes, some the hard way.

When I embarked on my journey as a writer, I tried to be very careful not to rush into things too quickly before doing my research first. Well, that initial excitement took over with my first novel and things didn’t go quite as planned. A lot of it was my own fault. Fast forward three years and it’s a whole different story. Never could I have dreamed or imagined some of the things that are going to take place in the near future because even now, it still seems so unreal.

With the way things are currently going, I’m constantly analyzing my actions and my decisions because I want to keep making progress. I don’t want to make the same mistakes again and don’t I want to regress. There are a number of things I haven’t shared in regards to my current writing accomplishments and I won’t. Adding to that, I refuse to become prideful or arrogant in my accomplishments because I see no reason to. I just want to use my writing journey to help inspire others.

At the end of the day, I’m just a writer trying to make a mark in this world and you know what? I’m choosing to do it with a humble spirit and a humble heart. It feels so much better that way.

Until next time…
