How’s everyone doing this evening? I hope that you all are doing well. Those of you who have been following my blog for some time know that I enjoy music as much as I enjoy writing. I listen to all kinds of music including Electronica and I had a wonderful reader introduce me to an amazing artist by the name of Stromae. Wow! Where do I even begin? Let’s just say I have an amazing song for you to hear.

Stromae is a Belgian musician, model and designer who was born to a Belgian mother and an Rwandan father. His father, a successful and wealthy architect, was killed in 1994 during the Rwandan genocide when he went to go visit his relatives. This affected Stromae greatly which in turn triggered a very close relationship with his paternal Grandmother. She was the only connection he had left in regards to his father which is why he frequently clung to her even though he has a very close relationship with his mother.

As he got older, he often thought of suicide and almost went through with it if it wasn’t for his beautiful wife Coralie…

Looks like I have a new artist to add to my list and after listening to Papaoutai which is about his father, you will too. Those instrumentals and that early chorus thirty seconds in will get you hooked. Wowzers! Like millions of others, I don’t even speak French and I like it after looking up the powerful lyrics! Click here for the music video with an astounding 519 millions views! Stromae also shows off his Rwandan dance moves. To that awesome reader, thank you for introducing me to another unique and talented artist / musician.

Until next time…
