Sorry to Disappoint

Hello! Hello on this Monday evening! I hope that all is well on your end. I’m preparing for my first novel series pre-release event and I’m pumped! With that being said, I want to address something that tends to throw people off when they first meet me in person.

One of the things I love about being a writer is meeting readers and potential readers! It’s one of the things I look forward to as a writer. When readers meet me for the first time, they are taken aback by how I look. Why? Because many assumed that I would be this middle-aged woman who is tall or broad in stature. I get it, my writing voice exudes that and I embrace it, but I hate to disappoint you, I’m actually the complete opposite.

Don’t ask me why I’m not looking up in this pic 😂😂😂…

I’m not quite in my forties yet, but I’m getting there. As far as being tall, I do wish I was taller than the 5’3 1/2 (yes I count the half) that I am. So, when you see me, don’t be surprised or disappointed. My writing voice is as big as my personality and when you spot me, you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about.

Until next time, stay tuned for more The Chronicles of Neffie news!

  1. Congrats on your series and good luck at your pre-release! It’s so interesting how people assume (and yes we’re all guilty of assuming) what someone looks like based off their literary voice! I always wondered who readers might picture were they to read my WIPs. I can almost say with certainty that they did not picture ME.

    Once again, best of luck!
