Just Sad…

This don’t make a bit of sense. You know, every now and then I have to vent on my blog regarding a relatable situation. So with that being said, here we go…

Today, I had an individual who has a well known history of telling “fibs” get caught up in their own lie. I must admit that I found it embarrassing because this individual couldn’t (like all the other times) provide me all this other proof of what they supposedly had. It makes one wonder, why do some people stoop so low to the gutter to make up stories / “fibs” on other people? Do they do it to try and make themselves look good? Or do they do it to shift the blame and hide the fact that they don’t know what they are doing?

Here’s the thing, I don’t have to lie, stretch the truth, or scheme when it comes to anything I do. I see no reason to. I was raised to tell the truth and to be honest in everything no matter how embarrassing or difficult it may be. There’s no need to do all that because in the end, after the dust and “fibs” settle, the truth is going to come out. It always does. I was asked not too long ago if I’ve ever lost any sleep worrying about such sad behavior and I can honestly say no. Why? First and foremost, my faith and trust in God. Two, I was raised to be a jack of all trades.

We have a saying in my family: Don’t put all your eggs or talent into one thing. Be able to do enough of other things just in case you may have to fall back on them. You may not believe me but faith, confidence and a humble spirit can carry a person a long way while giving them a peace of mind. I wouldn’t want to live any other way. Let them do what they do. Just don’t let it change the positive YOU.

Until next time…
