It is so easy to focus on the negative things is it not? Someone does something to offend us and we are all up in arms about it. We recycle over and over the things others have done to offends us without realizing that those very same people are imperfect like us. We can easily point out the wrongs others have done to us, but what about ourselves? We are not as perfect as we like to think we are and whether or not we want to admit it, we have done things to hurt and / or offend others. I know I have, even though it was not intentional.
Harboring resentment, anger or a grudge against others can be damaging in a number of ways. Not only that, it can affect your happiness. The best thing you can do for yourself is to forgive that person, let go of the hurt, pain or anger and move on. Holding on to it will not do you any bit of good. Especially since you yourself have done things to hurt or offend others whether it was done intentionally (which I find to be very sad) or unintentionally.
I can admit that seeing the good in others who are deceitful or hateful can be a challenge at times, but I am here to tell you it can be done. I truly believe that no one is COMPLETELY bad. There is some good in everybody. Granted, in some people you have to look a little harder to find it or see it, but it is there. When you have that type of mentality, it makes life and dealing with others so much easier. Remember, your happiness depends largely on you and how you view things in life so choose to be happy.
